2025 Advanced Sommelier Certificate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Scholarship for Women

The Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania 2025 Advanced Sommelier Certificate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Scholarship for Women aims to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and encourage more women to apply for formal certification at the Advanced level and above.

The scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance and study support to women who would otherwise struggle applying for the Advanced Sommelier Certificate program. The Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania will offer a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship for Women to applicants who wish to apply for the 2025 Advanced Sommelier Certificate, which will be held in Sydney from August 17th to 21st, 2025.

This scholarship will cover the full cost of the Advanced Sommelier Certificate course and examination fees, and the successful applicant will be assigned a Master Sommelier mentor to assist with their studies.

Applications close: Monday November 11th at 5pm AEST.

Brian Julyan MS (President CMS Europe) says, “Over the past twenty years, the Court of Master Sommeliers Europe has seen an explosion of interest in their Australian Sommelier programmes with over 1,000 Sommeliers participating in our qualifications. Originally running just the Introductory Sommelier Certificate in Australia, we have now progressed to running both Introductory, Certified and Advanced. Some candidates plan to sit for the Master Sommelier Diploma in London this year. We are happy to have several resident MSs working in Oceania offering mentorship, support and teaching to candidates.”
