Congratulations to Paolo Saccone on passing his Master Sommelier exam in Australia!
Born in Milan, Paolo is an international Sommelier and wine consultant based in Sydney. He has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, London, Italy, and Australia, and earned multiple accolades, including three consecutive Best Wine List awards at Flying Fish.
His achievements include Gourmet Traveller Wine’s Tony Hitchin Award (2020), Best New Wine List at Mimi’s Coogee, and, most recently, three goblets for The Charles Grand Brasserie and two goblets for Loulou Bistro.
He runs Vino by Paolo with his wife Kaly, helping restaurants craft profitable, distinctive wine lists. He was the runner-up for Best Sommelier of Australia 2021, representing Australia in the Best Sommelier of Asia & Oceania and the World competitions. Paolo earned his Advanced qualification with the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2017.
